Auditions for NCC for 2009 intake will take place in September - November 2008 in the following places:

Birmingham Cambridge Cardiff Chelmsford

Edinburgh Glasgow London

Liverpool Manchester Newcastle

Stoke Fleming (Devon) Taunton Winchester York

Children will be asked to sing a song of their own choice and a pianist will be provided. We would prefer it if the song were from memory.

They will be asked to sing some scales and some aural tests together with a short sight-reading piece.

It is not expected that the child will necessarily be able to sing at sight very well as this is one of the aspects of teaching offered on the

course, however it is important that the applicant will have a natural musical ability.

Please note there is a non-refundable audition fee of £25 to cover administration costs.

With your audition application form, please enclose:

1. Letter of recommendation from your Choir Director, Head Teacher or Singing Teacher
2. A passport size photograph
3. Audition and registration fee of £25 - cheques payable to the National Children's Choir of Great Britain
4. Stamped addressed envelope
